Rush Order Policy

At Laura Vivian Leather, we understand that sometimes you need your order sooner than our standard processing time. To accommodate these urgent requests, we offer a rush order service.

An order is classified as a rush order if the total time required to complete it, from the date the order is placed until it is ready to ship or be fulfilled, is less than three (3) weeks (21 calendar days).

Please be aware of the following regarding rush orders and shipping:

  • Availability: Rush order service may not always be available due to current production capacity, material availability, or the complexity of the order. Please contact us prior to placing your order to confirm if a rush service is possible for your specific items.
  • Rush Fee: Rush orders typically incur an additional fee to expedite the production process. This fee will vary depending on the complexity and size of your order and the requested turnaround time. The applicable rush fee will be clearly communicated to you before you finalize your order.
  • Timeline Confirmation: While we will make every effort to meet your requested rush timeline, the final completion date (the date your order is ready to ship) will be confirmed upon our acceptance of your rush order request and payment of any applicable fees. Please note that the rush order timeframe applies to the production of your order, not the shipping time.
  • Shipping Options for Rush Orders: Once your rush order is complete, you will have the option to select your preferred shipping method at checkout. Please be aware that even with a rush order, the delivery timeframe will depend on the shipping service you choose.
    • Standard Shipping: This is our regular shipping service, and delivery times will vary based on your location. While cost-effective, it will have a longer transit time than expedited options. Our standard shipping typically takes, 3-7 business days for domestic orders.
    • Expedited Shipping: For the fastest possible delivery of your rush order, we recommend selecting an expedited shipping option (if available). These options, such as [Mention specific carriers or services you offer, e.g., Priority Mail Express, FedEx Express, UPS Next Day Air], will incur a higher shipping cost but will significantly reduce the transit time.

  • Processing Time vs. Shipping Time: It's important to understand that the "less than 3 weeks" timeframe for a rush order refers to the time it takes for us to process and prepare your order for shipment. The shipping time is the duration it takes for the shipping carrier to deliver the package to your address after it leaves our facility. These are two separate timelines.

  • Standard Order Processing: Orders that do not qualify as rush orders typically have a standard processing time of 2-6 weeks.  This allows for careful attention to detail and quality in the creation of your items.
  • Factors Affecting Shipping Times: Several factors can influence shipping times, including:
    • Distance: The further the destination from our location in Goose Creek, South Carolina, the longer the shipping time.
    • Shipping Carrier and Service: Different carriers (e.g., USPS, FedEx, UPS) and the specific service level chosen (e.g., Ground, Express) have varying delivery speeds.
    • Weekends and Holidays: Shipping carriers typically do not operate on weekends and major holidays, which can extend transit times.
    • Weather Conditions and External Factors: Unexpected events like severe weather or logistical delays can impact delivery schedules.
    • Customs Clearance (for international orders): International shipments may be subject to customs clearance procedures, which can add to the overall delivery time.
  • Order Tracking: Once your order has shipped, you will typically receive a tracking number via email, allowing you to monitor its progress and estimated delivery date.
